Managing Your Avon Customer List

How Do You Keep Track of Your Avon Contact List?

While some people have incredible memory skills for remembering all the little details about their friends and contacts, these people are few and far between. We want to be able to remember these things, but inadvertently we can sometimes slip up. We definitely do not want to miss a client's birthday!

There are many different ways of doing Customer Relationship Management. Back in the day, as we old folks say, people would use a file card system or a Rolodex, but now it can be easier to manage client information online with a CRM software program. However, I highly recommend you have the information available online AND offline.

Wherever you keep your client information it is extremely important to do it in a way that will keep their information confidential.

What Types of Client Information are Important for Avon Reps to Know?

I asked the Bing Chatbot this question: "What Types of Client Information are Important for Avon Reps to Know?" It came up with a great list in a few seconds that used information from a couple of websites I might have yet to think of accessing - Avon UK and Avon USA in addition to Avon Canada.

As an Avon Representative, understanding your clients and providing personalized service is crucial. Here are some key pieces of client information that can help you serve them better:
  1. Contact Details: Collect their full name, phone number, and email address. This allows you to stay in touch, share product updates, and notify them of special offers.
  2. Understand their preferences, such as favourite products, scents, and colours. Knowing what they like helps you recommend relevant items and tailor your suggestions.
  3.  Skin Type and Concerns: Ask about their skin type (oily, dry, combination) and any specific skin concerns (acne, aging, sensitivity). This information guides you in recommending suitable skincare products.
  4. Makeup Preferences: Inquire about their makeup preferences, including preferred shades for lipstick, eyeshadow, and foundation. This ensures you offer products that match their style.
  5. Allergies and Sensitivities: Be aware of any allergies or sensitivities they may have. Avoid recommending products that could cause adverse reactions.
  6. Budget: Understand their budget constraints. Some clients may prefer affordable options, while others are willing to invest in premium products.
  7. Occasions: Ask about upcoming events or occasions (weddings, parties, vacations). This helps you suggest appropriate makeup or skincare products.
  8. Feedback: Regularly seek feedback on the products they've purchased. Their insights can guide future recommendations and improve your service.
Building strong relationships with your clients involves genuine care, active listening, and personalized attention. Avon's customer support and your personal mentor are also there to assist you along the way.
